The importance of fitness and conditioning
Children and young adults are now active in competitive sports that involve long seasons and intense practice sessions. These demands on young bodies dramatically increase the risk of acute and overuse injuries. This is why conditioning programs for specific sports are as necessary as skill practice and competition.
With obesity rising at an alarming rate in this country, more people need to be educated on the importance of lifetime fitness. By engaging children and teens in fun and challenging programs, we will help youngsters develop a love for exercise so that they can continue to live healthy lives after their participation in the sport has ended.
